Albanian doctor who lives and works in New York, USA, Prof. Dr. Skender Kodra was in Macedonia to visit prisoners of the "Group of Kumanovo", who are in the prisons of Bitolë , Prilep and Shutka.
In an interview to "Agjencioni Floripress ",Prof. Dr. Skender Kodra said that the situation of the prisoners is very critical and that the Macedonian state prevented him to visit them. He needed the help of the OSCE mission to do something like that.
"Their situation was very bad, they were in pieces. They have been beaten and tortured. If the problem would not be become of international importance, the situation would be worse," said Prof.Dr.Skendër Kodra to "Agjencioni Floripress".
He also spoke about what happened after they surrendered to the Macedonian police.
"Two of them were killed and then cut in pieces", he added, but he did not mention any names.
Prof. Dr. Skender Kodra lives and works in the United States for about 50 years, but this did not prevent him to help Albanians in Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia whenever they need. He is also the chairman of the Albanian-American Academy of Sciences.
